All of the books, curriculums and resources are written according to the orthography found in the Plautdietsch Bible, which is that of the dictionary Ons Ieeschtet Wieedabuak by Ed H. Zacharias.
THE GOAL
Books are powerful tools for developing children’s language and literacy. But how can that be the case for Plautdietsch-speaking children when they never see it represented in the books around them?
The goal of De Dietsche Lierasche is to teach the skills and give children the opportunity to practice reading in their mother tongue—so that one day, if they choose, they will have the skills and confidence to read God’s Word in their own language.
